This class provides an overview of the DevExpress
DXperience ASP.NET suite of products. It takes you through the process
of creating a business application with both an internal and an
external frontend, utilizing a typical combination of components
throughout the product range. A good practical level of knowledge will
be achieved that allows you to write similar business applications on
your own, and to understand the DevExpress suite of ASP.NET components
well enough to flatten any further learning curve.
Who Should Attend:
.NET developers with an interest and some basic
experience creating ASP.NET applications, but little experience using
the DevExpress ASP.NET suite of products. The programming language
used in the class is C#, but we don't anticipate problems for users of
other .NET languages.
Products covered:
- ASPxGridView and Editors
- ASPxGauges
- ASPxPivotGrid
- ASPxDataView
- ASPxMenu
- ASPxNavBar
- ASPxGauges
- ASPxCallback and ASPxCallbackPanel from the ASPxUtilities package
- XtraCharts
- XtraReports
- eXpress Persistent Objects
Depth of coverage:
The class is an overview and introduction, which
touches a large number of products in varying depth. Time restrictions
on this two day class prevent us from going into great detail on any
single one of them, though.
Format:
This instructor led training class focuses on a step-by-step
walkthrough of the creation of a business application for the purpose
of car sales. The application includes functionality for both the
internal and the external part of such a web site. A further focus is
the application of the DevExpress product suites to such a scenario,
while the sample application remains feature incomplete from the
perspective of a real car sales business.
Hands-on labs are presented throughout the class and questions are
encouraged. You should use your own computer during the class. Details
about the required setup will be made available later on.
